Injection Foam Installation
Select only trained and certified installers to insulate the walls of your home. Installation form the outside is typically less invasive than from the inside, but there can be benefits and advantages to both injection foam installation methods.
The end result behind any insulation process is to leave the home in the same, but better insulated, condition than when the project was started.
Installing Injection Foam
A successful installation would be a wall cavity that is air sealed and insulated to the R value desired without defects or damage to the existing wall assembly and its components which could include the following:
- Voids or gaps
- Shrinking foam
- Off-ratio foam
- Objectionable odors
- Structural damage to drywall and sheathing from foam expansion
- Electrical shorts from liquids flowing into junction boxes, outlets and other electrical components
